Restaurants across Türkiye will learn on Thursday, December 3, 2026, whether they have made the 2027 MICHELIN Guide Türkiye National Selection, the first edition to span the entire country. Michelin announced the date in a statement dated October 29.

The results will be revealed at a ceremony at Divan Kuruçeşme in İstanbul. Every restaurant on the list will be celebrated there, and the evening will also feature several Special Awards honouring standout figures from hospitality and the kitchen.

A first İstanbul edition in 2022 marked the start of the Guide’s work in the country. Its inspectors later moved on to other areas, among them İzmir, Muğla and Cappadocia. Michelin called the shift to a nationwide list a significant milestone.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, said the country stands out for its range of food:

“From deeply rooted regional traditions to contemporary expressions of gastronomy, Türkiye offers remarkable diversity and creativity.”

He said the inspectors were still keen to find new restaurants and talented chefs on their travels, and that the national selection would offer travellers a wider picture of Türkiye as a leading gastronomic destination.

The invitation list includes chefs whose restaurants join the selection for the first time, as well as those awarded MICHELIN Stars. The full 2027 list goes online on the Guide’s website and mobile app as soon as the event ends.

Under the Guide’s method, only cooking is assessed. Anonymous inspectors use the same five yardsticks everywhere: how good the ingredients are, how well cooking techniques are mastered, whether flavours work together, how much of the chef’s personality shows on the plate, and whether quality holds steady across the menu and over time.
