EHTP graduates 236 engineers in its 52nd class ceremony

The EHTP graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year took place on Friday in Casablanca, marking the graduation of the 52nd class of the École Hassania des Travaux Publics. The event brought together institutional representatives, including Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, and celebrated the achievements of 236 engineering graduates.

Addressing the graduates, Mezzour praised their academic journey and highlighted the role of dedication, perseverance, and hard work in achieving excellence. He said the newly qualified engineers would play a key role in supporting Morocco’s development agenda and contributing to the implementation of major national infrastructure projects.

The minister also encouraged graduates to uphold integrity, professionalism, and responsibility throughout their careers, stressing the importance of combining technical expertise with a strong sense of public service.

EHTP Director Jaouad Boutahar noted that the graduating class includes 119 men and 117 women, reflecting near gender parity and demonstrating the growing presence of women in engineering professions. He said graduates have a responsibility to place their knowledge, creativity, and values at the service of society.

Boutahar emphasized that the challenges facing Morocco require engineers who can innovate, lead, make decisions, and act with integrity. He highlighted the contribution of EHTP alumni over more than five decades to the design, construction, and management of major national projects, including roads, highways, dams, railways, airports, ports, water infrastructure, energy systems, telecommunications networks, and digital infrastructure.

The institution is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. Since its establishment, EHTP has trained nearly 8,000 engineers across multiple disciplines while contributing to scientific research, innovation, and the development of Morocco’s human capital.

A key moment of the ceremony was the presentation of honorary certificates and excellence awards to top-performing graduates. The distinctions recognized outstanding academic achievement, commitment, creativity, and innovation throughout their studies.

The 52nd graduating class includes 81 graduates in civil engineering, 41 in electrical engineering, 23 in hydraulic and environmental engineering, 17 in urban and environmental engineering, 23 in logistics and transport engineering, 23 in geographic information sciences, 17 in computer engineering, seven in meteorology, and four graduates holding dual degrees through partnerships with foreign institutions.
