Atelier Versace, the couture line of the Italian fashion house Versace, will return to Paris Haute Couture Week with the first collection designed by creative director Peter Mulliez, the house confirmed in a brief statement.

No schedule has been set yet. “The date and venue will be announced later,” Versace said.

The return is expected in January 2027. That collection would mark one of the first major occasions for Mulier to present his vision for the brand. Paris Haute Couture Week is scheduled to run from January 25 to 28 in the French capital.

The line’s last runway presentation in Paris was in July 2016, when it showed a Fall/Winter collection. From 2017 onward, Versace kept producing couture in more private formats, away from traditional shows. The atelier has since stayed active in high fashion through private commissions and red-carpet appearances.

Gianni Versace founded the couture line in 1989 with a clear idea of the woman he was dressing: confident in her body and using clothes as an extension of her strength and her wish to be noticed. He expressed that vision through shimmering metallic fabrics, leather, rich embroidery and cuts that revealed and reshaped the body.

His Paris shows took that approach to exceptional levels of craftsmanship. Among them was the Spring/Summer 1995 collection, presented at the Ritz hotel.
