Casablanca will welcome around 25 women leaders from microfinance institutions from Tuesday, Nov. 3 to Thursday, Nov. 5, for a regional forum jointly organised by SANABEL and the Centre Mohammed VI de Soutien à la Microfinance Solidaire (CMS).

The gathering, titled “From Experience to Action: Sanabel Women Leaders Forum”, falls under the Initiative Sanabel des femmes leaders. Every participant comes from an institution that belongs to the SANABEL network.

The organisers say the forum aims to strengthen women’s leadership, encourage the exchange of experience and promote practices that can shape the future of microfinance and financial inclusion in the Arab region.

Over the three days, participants will share leadership experience and good practice, discuss governance and institutional resilience, and examine skills development along with the emergence of a new generation of women leaders.

The sessions are also expected to produce concrete recommendations meant to drive change across the sector.

Through the initiative, SANABEL and the CMS say they are reaffirming their commitment to women’s empowerment, capacity building and inclusive, sustainable leadership.
