Moroccan international Zainab Al-Rdwani has signed for Spanish women’s club FC Badalona, arriving from AS FAR. The 26-year-old now begins a new professional chapter in the Spanish league.

FC Badalona announced the move, describing Al-Rdwani as a full-back known for her pace and technical ability, brought in to strengthen the defence for the coming period. She has already started training with her new teammates this week.

Her spell at AS FAR ends with a strong record: seven league titles and six cups. In 2022, she was named in the team of the tournament at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, and was also included in the Confederation of African Football‘s best XI for that year.

Al-Rdwani has been capped by Morocco’s senior national team since 2018. She was among the players who helped the Atlas Lionesses reach the final of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, and has featured in the competition’s final on two occasions in her career.

Speaking after the move, Al-Rdwani said she was happy with the step and praised the welcome she received at the club. She added that she is looking forward to her first match in FC Badalona colours and is ready to give everything for the group.
