Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi underwent successful surgery on Thursday, October 29, and his first visitor afterwards was fellow international Achraf Hakimi, Panathinaïkos announced on Instagram.
The operation repaired the biceps femoris tendon in Ounahi’s right leg.
The Greek club shared a photo of the two Morocco national team teammates together, with a caption that read: “His first visitor was someone of an equally exceptional calibre: Achraf Hakimi!”
Three doctors made up the medical team: Panathinaïkos club doctor Haris Lalos, orthopedic surgeon Nicolas Lefèvre and Morocco national team doctor Christophe Baudot, who also works as a medical consultant to Paris Saint-Germain.
Ounahi now begins a rehabilitation period before returning to competition.
