Samsung Canada mocks Apple’s iPhone Duo with cracked-screen Instagram post
Samsung Canada parodied Apple’s photo style on Instagram with cracked screens, taking aim at hinge-area display issues reported on the foldable iPhone Duo.

Samsung Canada has taken aim at Apple’s new iPhone Duo with an Instagram carousel that copies the look of Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” photography, then ruins each picture with a broken-screen effect.
The images show ordinary scenes: a little girl lying in the grass with her dog, a child holding a pink doughnut, and a wooden staircase photographed from below. A black crack runs through the middle of every frame, crossed by bright fluorescent lines that look like dead pixels.
The joke targets Apple’s first foldable phone. Some iPhone Duo owners have reported display problems near the hinge, including cracks and coloured lines, and these reports have fuelled criticism online since the device went on sale. They do not show that every unit is affected.
Samsung kept the caption to a single line:
“Folding is nothing new to us.”
The line points to the South Korean company’s Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip models, which have been on the market for several years. The post turns Apple’s own visual style against it, a tactic rival brands often use in their marketing.
Within fifteen hours of being published, the post had collected more than 55,300 likes and 3,300 comments.
