Industrial producer prices in Morocco, excluding petroleum refining, rose 0.1% in September 2026, the High Commission for Planning (HCP) said in data released Friday. The increase was slower than the 0.4% gain recorded in August.

Clothing manufacturing drove the monthly rise, with prices up 1.4%. Producers of other non-metallic mineral products posted a 0.6% increase, and chemical manufacturing prices edged up 0.1%.

Two sectors moved the other way. Metallurgy prices fell 0.4% and food manufacturing prices dropped 0.2%, which weighed on the overall figure.

No change was recorded in extractive industries, in electricity generation and distribution, or in water production and distribution, according to the HCP.

August’s stronger reading had come on sharper price gains in chemical manufacturing and metallurgy. The index measures the prices manufacturers receive for their goods, not what consumers pay in stores.
