Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA) announced on Thursday, Oct. 29, that it had placed third across the region in the Best Workplaces for Women category of the Great Place to Work Best Workplaces in the Middle East rankings.

The CDA said the placing reflects efforts to give female employees a supportive setting in which they can build their abilities, carry greater responsibility, have a say in decisions and help the organisation meet its goals.

Staff are also given room to advance in their careers, the Authority said, and are encouraged to show initiative and innovate while balancing their jobs with their personal lives. These measures, it added, contribute to job stability, satisfaction and a sense of belonging among employees.

Saeed Al Tayer, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at the CDA, described the result as recognition of an approach that places people first and stands by women at every stage of their careers.

“We believe that empowering women begins with providing equal opportunities for growth and advancement, placing confidence in their capabilities, and recognising their contributions to institutional work,” Al Tayer said.

He said the Authority would continue investing in its human capital, with the aim of building a workplace where staff keep learning, grow professionally and share what they know. That, he said, would allow both women and men to give their best to the CDA’s mission and objectives.
