Royal Armed Forces to stage Throne Day air shows and parachute displays

The Royal Armed Forces air shows will take place on July 30 and 31 as part of celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, to the Throne.

According to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the aerial performances will be held along the coast of M’diq on July 30 and at the Martil Corniche on July 31. Both events will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will feature the Royal Air Force’s “Marche Verte” aerobatic team.

The celebrations will also include parachute exhibition jumps at the Bouregreg Marina in Salé. The demonstrations will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, and continue throughout the day. Male and female members of the national parachute team will take part in the performances.

The exhibition program will include precision landing demonstrations, canopy contact routines, artistic aerial displays, acrobatic maneuvers, and freefall formations, the statement said. The events form part of the official festivities organized for Throne Day and are expected to attract spectators across the host locations.
