MOGA Festival marks 10th anniversary with global lineup in Essaouira
The MOGA Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a milestone edition in Essaouira from September 30 to October 4, 2026. The event has unveiled a new wave of artists for its MOGA IN program, reinforcing its ambition to remain one of Africa’s and the Mediterranean region’s leading electronic music festivals. The anniversary edition will bring together internationally acclaimed performers alongside a strong lineup of Moroccan talent.
The latest artist announcement includes several prominent names from the global electronic music scene. Sonja Moonear, a leading figure in European minimal music, joins the festival alongside Bradley Zero, founder of the British label Rhythm Section, house music artist Richy Ahmed, and Italian DJ and producer Silvie Loto. They expand a lineup that already features Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, and ANOTR, who were confirmed during the festival’s initial announcement.
The program also welcomes a diverse selection of international and emerging artists, including Jesse Calosso, Piticu, Matisa, Gawdat, Doudou MD, Florentia, E.lina, and Yamagucci. The selection reflects the festival’s commitment to presenting a broad range of electronic music styles while maintaining an international outlook.
Moroccan artists remain central to the 2026 edition. Newly announced performers include Polyswitch, Malika, Othman Kabbadj, Jazzee & Meyzz, Abel, and Baruck, joining previously confirmed acts such as Amine K, Daox, Hamadeus, Yahya, Yaya, Jilali, N4bz, Ousseki, Oz & Rem, and Ramyen. The lineup also brings together several Moroccan electronic music collectives, including Hush Hush, Supervibe, Cartoon, and LVR, highlighting the diversity and growth of the country’s electronic music scene.
As in previous editions, the festival will take place in two phases. MOGA OFF will run on September 30 and October 1 across multiple venues in Essaouira, offering free activities including DJ performances, live concerts, film screenings, surfing sessions, yoga, workshops, and community gatherings. Organizers said the detailed schedule for this program will be announced at a later date.
From October 2 to 4, MOGA IN will move to Hôtel Le Golf d’Essaouira & Spa, where four stages will host performances from the festival’s international and Moroccan artists.
According to the organizers, the anniversary edition will feature artists representing 16 countries, including 20 Moroccan DJs. The festival continues to position itself as a platform connecting international electronic music with Morocco’s creative scene. Over the past decade, MOGA has expanded beyond music by combining cultural heritage, contemporary artistic expression, and immersive experiences, contributing to Essaouira’s reputation as a major cultural destination while strengthening Morocco’s presence on the international electronic music festival calendar.
