Ghita El Allaki, wife of Saad Lamjarred: “Real loyalty has no audience, no price, and no expiration date”

Ghita El Allaki, the wife of Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred, has shared a story on her Instagram account about loyalty and about the people who drift away when life gets hard. Many of her followers were quick to connect the message with what her husband is going through.

“They go silent, they look away”

Writing in English, she said:

“It’s easy to stand beside someone when their name carries power, when their presence opens doors, and when being associated with them brings attention and benefits. But the moment life takes a difficult turn, the same people who once stood so close suddenly become strangers. They go silent, they look away, and they pretend they were never there.”

She went on:

“Never confuse people who stand beside you because of who you are with people who stand beside you because of what you mean to them. True loyalty is not proven when the world applauds you. It’s proven when the world turns its back on you, and someone still has the courage to stand by your side. Real loyalty has no audience, no price, and no expiration date.”

A message read against the court case

Ghita El Allaki did not name anyone or refer to any specific event. Its timing, however, was enough for the post to spread widely on social media, where many read it as a reference to the ordeal facing Saad Lamjarred.

On September 26, 2026, the appeals assize court in Créteil, near Paris, sentenced the singer to ten years in prison in a rape case dating back to 2016, increasing the six-year sentence handed down at first instance in 2023. His defence says he maintains his innocence and has announced an appeal to France’s Court of Cassation.

Ghita El Allaki has stood beside her husband at several stages of his trials and has voiced her support for him on a number of occasions.
