CMI Maroc and Z.systems partner to accelerate digital transformation of distribution chains in Morocco
The Centre Monétique Interbancaire and Moroccan startup Z.systems have announced a strategic partnership aimed at integrating the Fatourati payment ecosystem into a digital distribution platform, marking a new step in the digitization of commercial exchanges in Morocco.
The initiative seeks to embed digital payments directly into distribution workflows, allowing transactions between stakeholders to be processed within the same digital environment rather than through separate payment operations.
Integration of payments into distribution systems
The partnership will connect the Fatourati multichannel ecosystem to Z.systems’ platform to streamline exchanges across distribution chains. According to the Centre Monétique Interbancaire, the system already links more than 30 financial institutions and provides access to millions of users across Morocco.
The objective is to make payment solutions part of the commercial flow itself, improving operational efficiency and reducing friction in transaction processes between economic actors.
A broader push to modernize commerce
Both partners describe the project as part of a wider effort to reshape the interaction between goods distribution and financial flows. The collaboration aims to simplify supply chains, improve exchange efficiency, and support the expansion of digital practices in Morocco’s economy.
The Centre Monétique Interbancaire also highlighted the role of local innovation, expressing support for Moroccan startups contributing to the modernization of traditional commerce and the development of digital infrastructure.
Through this partnership, the two entities aim to strengthen the digitization of commercial ecosystems by combining payment infrastructure with digital distribution tools, aligning with national efforts to modernize trade and financial services.
