Spain’s Ingedetec opens technical office in Tangier to expand industrial footprint
Spanish engineering firm Ingedetec has opened a technical office in Tangier as part of its international expansion strategy, investing €230,000 to strengthen its presence in Morocco’s industrial sector. The company plans to hire between six and ten professionals in its initial phase and aims to begin securing local projects by 2027.
Ingedetec, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Sant Esteve Sesrovires in Barcelona province, specializes in engineering services for the automotive, railway, and aeronautical industries. Its work focuses on the design and development of electrical systems, lighting, batteries, and vehicle interior and exterior components. The company employs 220 people worldwide and already operates in Germany and Mexico.
The Tangier office is expected to support Ingedetec’s global growth strategy, with projections of a 50% increase in exports and a 5% rise in overall revenue during its first year of activity. The company closed 2025 with a global turnover of €10 million.
The expansion received backing from ACCIÓ, the business growth agency of Catalonia’s regional government, which contributed €80,000 in support. Catalonia’s Department of Enterprise confirmed that the firm works with manufacturers and suppliers across its core industrial sectors.
CEO Juan José Marcos described the new office as “a strategic step to continue growing, take advantage of the already consolidated industrial environment and reinforce proximity to the main companies in the sector.”
Tangier has become a key industrial hub in Morocco, particularly in automotive and aerospace manufacturing, attracting international suppliers and production networks. Ingedetec’s establishment in the city places it closer to these supply chains and reinforces its multi-market expansion strategy across Europe, Latin America, and now North Africa.
