Casablanca slaughterhouse control room strengthens site security
Casablanca Prestations has expanded its modernization program at the Casablanca Municipal Slaughterhouses with the launch of a centralized control room designed to improve supervision, security, and operational management across the facility.
The new control room forms part of the local development company’s broader strategy to modernize public infrastructure under its management. Operating as a central supervision hub, the facility provides continuous monitoring of the site around the clock. It allows teams to oversee sensitive areas, centralize alerts, prevent incidents, and coordinate emergency responses more efficiently.
The project follows the deployment of a similar system at the Casablanca Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market. The initiative reflects Casablanca Prestations’ effort to introduce modern management and monitoring tools aimed at improving operational efficiency and responsiveness across municipal facilities.
The control room integrates video surveillance, access control systems, fire detection infrastructure, and other security technologies. The platform enables early incident detection, faster response times, and improved management of emergency situations.
Beyond strengthening the protection of people, property, and infrastructure, the system enhances operational traceability, optimizes intervention times, and supports business continuity in line with recognized management standards.
Casablanca Prestations said the project aligns with its management model based on infrastructure modernization, service quality, technological innovation, and good governance practices.
The initiative also supports the ongoing transformation of the Casablanca Municipal Slaughterhouses, which have already received approval from the National Office for Food Safety and hold ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications. The new installation complements existing measures focused on workplace safety, risk management, and continuous improvement.
The control room includes a network of 152 surveillance cameras covering all major areas of the site, with centralized image storage and recording for up to three months. It also features a fire safety system comprising four detection control panels connected to nearly 200 devices, including detectors, manual call points, and alarm sirens.
Access to restricted areas is managed through a secure badge-based system reserved for authorized personnel.
To improve incident reporting, Casablanca Prestations has also established a dedicated telephone line connected to the control room. The service enables professionals, operators, and employees to report complaints, anomalies, and incidents quickly, helping operational teams respond more effectively.
