National Lottery earns international recognition for responsible gaming commitment

The National Lottery has received renewed international recognition for its responsible gaming practices and corporate responsibility efforts, securing a double certification during the European Lotteries Industry Days 2026 held in Marrakech from June 7 to 10.

The Responsible Gaming certification awarded by European Lotteries was granted to the National Lottery for the fifth consecutive time. The organization also retained Level 4 certification from the World Lottery Association, the highest international standard for responsible gaming.

This double recognition highlights the National Lottery’s ongoing commitment to player protection, the prevention of gambling-related risks, and the promotion of responsible gaming practices in line with international standards.

The awards were presented during the European Lotteries Industry Days 2026, a major international gathering that brought together lottery industry leaders, experts, and partners in Marrakech. The event focused on strategic challenges facing the sector, technological innovation, responsible gaming practices, and opportunities for international cooperation.

Supported by the African Lotteries Association, the conference reflected a shared ambition to strengthen collaboration between lottery operators across continents and promote a sustainable and responsible development model for the industry.

The recognition comes alongside another significant achievement for the Société de Gestion de la Loterie Nationale (SGLN), which renewed its Corporate Social Responsibility Label from the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises on June 16, 2026.

Granted following a rigorous assessment process, the label recognizes companies that effectively integrate corporate social responsibility principles into their strategy, governance, and operational activities. Its renewal confirms SGLN’s commitment to creating shared value by balancing economic performance with social impact, environmental responsibility, and sound governance practices.

The distinction also acknowledges initiatives undertaken by SGLN for employees, partners, and the wider community. These efforts include promoting ethics, transparency, inclusion, and social development while maintaining corporate responsibility as a core element of the organization’s long-term strategy.

By hosting a major international industry event, obtaining renewed responsible gaming certifications, and retaining its CSR label, the National Lottery has reinforced its position as a responsible stakeholder committed to ethical and sustainable gaming practices that contribute to society.

For more than five decades, SGLN has operated lottery games within a regulated and secure framework. The organization states that all funds generated through its activities are allocated to social and solidarity-based initiatives, supporting projects with significant social impact while promoting a transparent and sustainable lottery model.
