Ghizlane Chebbak, captain of the Lionesses of the Atlas, is among 26 players nominated for the 2026 women’s World 11, according to the international footballers’ union FIFPRO.
The AS FAR player makes the shortlist for the second year running, having also been nominated in the previous edition. She arrives in this year’s race as the reigning CAF Women’s Ballon d’Or holder, the African player of the year title she won for 2025.
The list unveiled by FIFPRO also includes Spain’s Alexia Putellas, Double Ballon d’Or winner, alongside her compatriot Aitana Bonmatí, one of the leading figures in the women’s game.
The World 11 is chosen solely through votes cast by professional players. For the 2026 edition, 6,511 professional women footballers from around the world took part in the ballot.
Morocco also features on the men’s side, where international Achraf Hakimi is among 26 players in contention for the FIFPRO World 11 of 2026.
The final women’s team will be unveiled on Monday, November 9, 2026, at a ceremony bringing together some of the biggest names in world football.
