Rheumatologists will trade the consulting room for a walking course this Sunday, Nov. 1, as Rhumathlon 2026 holds its second edition in Rabat from 9 a.m. to noon.

The gathering will take place at the Grand Parc Hassan II, near the Royal Palace of Touarga. The goal is to prevent rheumatic diseases and encourage physical activity suited to each person, built around a simple idea: moving helps protect the joints.

Specialists will walk the course alongside the public to raise awareness. Several themed stands will also be set up, where visitors can get information and ask questions about the health of their joints, bones and muscles.

The morning programme includes gentle or brisk walking, a joint warm-up, advice from specialists and discussions with health professionals on osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and inflammatory rheumatic conditions.

The event is open to the public, to patients and to their families. Organisers want to remind participants that regular, appropriate physical activity helps maintain mobility and quality of life, a message summed up in the slogan “move better today to keep your mobility tomorrow.”
