Dar Al Ber Society will donate AED 4 million to the “Beiti” initiative, the centrepiece of a new cooperation agreement with the Dubai Community Contributions Establishment “Jood”, Jood said in a statement on Friday, October 30.

The money will help the initiative meet urgent social needs and assist families and individuals, according to the statement. It forms part of a memorandum of understanding signed by the two Dubai bodies.

The agreement goes beyond the contribution itself. It covers joint campaigns, both seasonal ones and larger-scale initiatives, along with community events and activities meant to draw wider participation. Jood said the partnership aims to steer resources to where the community needs them most and to make the system of community giving better coordinated and more efficient, a goal it linked to the Dubai Social Agenda 33.

Jood chief executive Marwan Rashid bin Hashem described the agreement as an example of community institutions pooling effort, resources and know-how. He said the aim was an ecosystem that is “more connected and transparent”, combining partnerships, governance and technology.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, said partnerships should be judged by the lasting difference they make to people’s lives, not solely by the resources involved. He described working with Jood as an important move that would help families remain stable and improve their quality of life.

Al Falasi added that his society would continue forging strategic alliances aimed at allocating resources more efficiently and extending the reach of its community programmes.
