Morocco’s blood agency and Rabat hospital strengthen cooperation
The Moroccan Agency for Blood and Its Derivatives (AMSD) and the International University Hospital of Rabat (HUIR) signed a partnership agreement on Monday, August 10. The blood supply agreement aims to secure access to blood products for patients and improve their traceability.
The agreement sets out procedures governing requests, delivery, transport and monitoring between the agency and the hospital. The framework is intended to improve coordination across the different stages involved in making blood products available to patients.
The partnership also strengthens cooperation on hemovigilance and transfusion best practices. Both institutions aim to ensure continuous and secure access to blood products while complying with national quality and safety requirements.
The agreement also includes awareness initiatives to promote voluntary and regular blood donation. Blood collection campaigns may be organized at the International University Hospital of Rabat as part of these efforts.
A joint committee will monitor the implementation of the agreement. The partnership is expected to strengthen coordination between the AMSD and HUIR on blood supply and transfusion safety for patients.
