Leapmotor unveils B10 SUV to expand electrified mobility in Morocco
Leapmotor has launched the new B10 in Morocco, introducing the first model from its new B series as the brand continues its expansion in the country. The compact SUV combines electrified driving, connected technologies and extended driving range, targeting motorists seeking a practical transition to electric mobility.
Built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, the Leapmotor B10 uses REEV technology, or Range Extended Electric Vehicle architecture. Unlike conventional hybrid systems, the vehicle is powered exclusively by its electric motor, while a 1.5 liter gasoline engine serves only as a generator to produce electricity when battery levels require support.
The system is designed around three key principles. The electric motor provides all propulsion, the combustion engine is never mechanically connected to the wheels, and the engine generates electricity to extend driving range during journeys. According to the company, this configuration delivers a driving experience similar to a fully electric vehicle while reducing concerns related to long distance travel.
The B10 is equipped with an 18.8 kWh battery that provides up to 86 kilometers of all electric driving range. With the range extender operating, the vehicle can achieve a combined driving range of up to 900 kilometers, reducing the need for frequent charging during longer trips.
Inside the vehicle, drivers benefit from a 14.6 inch HD 2.5K central touchscreen, a digital interface and a range of comfort and safety features. The SUV includes seven airbags and has been designed to meet Euro NCAP five star safety requirements. It also features 17 advanced driver assistance systems aimed at enhancing occupant protection.
Connected vehicle ecosystem
The B10 integrates with the Leapmotor App, allowing users to manage several vehicle functions remotely through their smartphones. Features include locking and unlocking the vehicle, activating climate control before departure, monitoring battery levels and available range, reviewing driving statistics, planning charging sessions and receiving over the air software updates.
The company said these digital services are intended to simplify daily vehicle use while maintaining a connected ownership experience.
Design and market positioning
Leapmotor is offering the B10 in Morocco with a single Design trim level. Customers can choose from five exterior colors and two interior themes to personalize the vehicle.
The launch color, Starry Night Blue, draws inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s famous painting The Starry Night and highlights the model’s contemporary styling.
With its compact dimensions, onboard technologies and extended range capability, the B10 is aimed at both urban professionals and families seeking a versatile SUV suitable for daily commuting and longer journeys.
To mark its arrival in the Moroccan market, the Leapmotor B10 is being offered with a launch price starting from 269,000 Moroccan dirhams. The company said the model supports its strategy of making innovative, intelligent and sustainable mobility more accessible while strengthening its presence in Morocco.
