Opel launches Combo Cargo Start for professional users
Opel introduces the Combo Cargo Start as a new entry level model in its compact light commercial vehicle range. The vehicle targets professionals such as craftsmen, delivery drivers, technicians, and small fleet operators.
The model focuses on practicality and affordability. It keeps the core features of the Combo Cargo while adding solutions designed to support mobile work. Opel highlights a redesigned driver centered cabin with improved storage and flexible equipment options.
The Flexiseat system allows the passenger seat to be raised, creating an additional 0.5 cubic meters of load space. The cabin includes several functional elements such as a Modutable work surface, a Dashbox storage area, a Drivedrawer under the driver seat, and a removable Moduconsole. A 220 volt socket supports the charging of laptops, tablets, and professional tools.
The Combo Cargo Start offers multiple powertrains. The electric version delivers 100 kW or 136 hp and uses a 42 kWh battery. It provides up to 270 km of range under the WLTP cycle. The lineup also includes diesel engines rated at 100 hp and 130 hp, a 110 hp petrol engine, and a 48 volt hybrid version planned for 2027.
The model will be available in two body lengths. It offers up to 4.4 cubic meters of cargo volume and a payload capacity of up to one ton depending on configuration.
