Garena unveils Palworld Online with a mobile MMORPG experience

Garena has announced Palworld Online, a new multiplayer adventure and survival game for mobile based on the globally popular Palworld franchise. Developed and published by Garena under an official license from Pocketpair, the title adapts the original PC experience while introducing a new story, original narrative elements, and a massively multiplayer online world.

Palworld Online transforms the creature collection and survival gameplay of the PC version into a mobile-first experience without abandoning the freedom and depth that made the franchise successful. Players will explore a seamless open world alongside creatures known as Pals, uncover hidden locations, complete challenges, and unlock new regions as they progress.

The game introduces an original storyline supported by exclusive side stories created specifically for the mobile edition. Players will be able to capture, raise, and develop Pals while strengthening the relationship with their companions throughout the adventure.

Multiplayer features play a central role in the experience. Players can meet others across the shared world, create teams, build common settlements, and participate in cooperative and competitive activities. The game includes PvE encounters against powerful bosses as well as PvP battles. Those seeking a more relaxed experience can visit other players’ bases, cooperate during exploration, or hunt rare Pals together.

Survival and crafting mechanics remain a key part of the gameplay. Friends can establish shared bases that function as collaborative hubs for production, defense, and daily activities. Pals can automate resource production and help protect settlements, allowing players to focus on expansion and social interaction.

Garena has also redesigned the interface for smartphones with touch controls and optional one-touch commands. Base construction, relocation, and Pal management have been optimized for mobile devices while maintaining gameplay flexibility across a wide range of smartphones.

Garena President Terry Zhao said the company aims to preserve the core identity of the original game while adapting it for mobile players who want to explore together. Pocketpair Chief Executive Officer Takuro Mizobe said Garena’s experience in global publishing, localization, and live service operations makes it a strong partner for bringing a new Palworld experience to players worldwide.

Palworld Online is scheduled for release in 2026. Garena said additional information, including the launch schedule, will be announced at a later date.
