Capgemini and La French Tech Casablanca strengthen Morocco’s innovation ecosystem
Capgemini and La French Tech Casablanca have signed a partnership in Morocco to accelerate innovation, expand digital skills, and enhance the country’s appeal as a technology hub. The agreement supports the objectives of the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy and promotes collaboration between startups, businesses, investors, and public institutions.
The partnership was signed on June 22 at Capgemini’s offices in Morocco. It is designed to encourage knowledge sharing, strengthen professional expertise, and support projects that contribute to the country’s digital transformation. As part of the agreement, Capgemini’s teams in Morocco will actively participate in thematic committees and communities led by La French Tech Casablanca, where technology leaders and entrepreneurs work together on emerging digital challenges.
Badra Hamdaoua, Managing Director of Capgemini Morocco, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting talent development, innovation, and stronger cooperation across Morocco’s technology ecosystem. She added that these efforts aim to reinforce the sector’s long-term growth and international competitiveness.
The collaboration has already produced its first initiative. On June 29, Capgemini welcomed a delegation of women entrepreneurs and startup executives as part of the “Elles Tech Tour” program organized by La French Tech Casablanca. The initiative connects founders, technology companies, institutions, and large corporations while promoting greater participation of women in the digital economy.
During the event, Capgemini hosted discussions focused on artificial intelligence, innovation, digital transformation, and leadership. The sessions emphasized the contribution of female professionals to Morocco’s expanding technology sector and encouraged stronger collaboration between emerging startups and established companies.
William Simoncelli, President of La French Tech Casablanca, said the agreement reinforces cooperation between Moroccan, French, and international innovation ecosystems. He noted that programs such as Elles Tech Tour help promote entrepreneurial talent, support women in technology, and position Morocco as a destination for innovation, experimentation, and business development.
Both organizations plan to expand their cooperation through future initiatives covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, responsible innovation, mentoring, digital skills development, and technology awareness programs for young people. These projects are expected to support Morocco’s ambition of building a more competitive and inclusive digital economy.
