BMCI marks success of first Passerelles program cohort
The Passerelles program has reached a significant milestone as Banque Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie (BMCI) celebrated the graduation of its first certified cohort. Organized in partnership with the ISCAE Group, the initiative forms part of the bank’s strategy to strengthen employee skills and support professional development across its workforce.
Designed around reskilling and upskilling objectives, the program offers BMCI employees opportunities to acquire new knowledge and strengthen competencies aligned with the bank’s evolving business needs. The initiative aims to prepare staff for changing job requirements while supporting career growth within the organization.
The first two editions of the program generated strong interest among employees, attracting 104 applications. A total of 20 collaborators were selected to participate in the certification pathway, which was developed in partnership with the ISCAE Group and delivered over a five-month period.
All participants successfully completed the training and obtained their certification, resulting in a 100 percent success rate for the inaugural cohort. The achievement reflects the commitment of the participants, the support provided throughout the training process, and BMCI’s ongoing efforts to invest in employee development.
Speaking at the certificate ceremony, Othmane Arhmir, Human Resources Director at BMCI, said that developing employee competencies remains a strategic priority for the bank. He noted that the Passerelles program represents an investment in the institution’s talent pool, helping employees advance professionally while addressing the transformation of banking professions. He added that the certification demonstrates BMCI’s commitment to encouraging internal mobility and preparing its workforce for future skills requirements.
The initiative also builds on the broader partnership between BMCI and the ISCAE Group. Both institutions share the objective of strengthening connections between academic training and the needs of the banking sector. Through this collaboration, they work together to develop skills, prepare talent, and support the evolution of banking professions.
Through the Passerelles program, BMCI continues to invest in its human capital by providing employees with development pathways tailored to the challenges of organizational transformation and the changing demands of the banking industry.
