Wydad de Casablanca edged Moghreb de Tétouan 1-0 on Saturday, October 31, at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, in the sixth round of the Botola Pro D1 Inwi.

The only goal came in the 40th minute. Congolese striker Silvère Ganvoula converted from the penalty spot after Oussama Zemraoui had won the foul.

The hosts dominated the opening half, and Tétouan’s sporadic attempts rarely troubled the Wydad goal. The second half brought a more balanced contest, with the visitors pushing for an equaliser while Wydad searched for a second goal. Neither side found the net again.

The win is the Reds’ third of the season and their second in a row under Nasreddine Nabi, who was in charge for only his second match on the Wydad bench.

Wydad now have 11 points and sit second in the standings, behind Kawkab de Marrakech. Moghreb de Tétouan remain on 3 points in 15th place.
