Digital Virgo is marking 20 years of operations in Morocco this year. The international group, which specialises in payments and the monetisation of digital services, says it plans to double its Moroccan workforce by 2030.

Present in the Kingdom since 2006, the company now employs nearly 70 people in Morocco and more than 150 across Africa, with operations in over 20 countries. It works with 30 telecom operators in Morocco and elsewhere on the continent, a pool the group puts at 682 million addressable subscribers. Over the past ten years, it says it has helped generate more than 750 million euros in value for African digital economies.

Mounia Terhzaz, the group’s Regional CEO Africa, described its Moroccan base as its main strength, allowing services to be designed for local conditions and then rolled out across Africa. “The next twenty years will be written with Moroccan and African talent,” she said. Co-founder and vice-president Manuel Cruz called the anniversary both a tribute to the group’s history and a commitment to its future.

Teams in Casablanca built MTTV, the TV and video-on-demand service developed for Maroc Telecom, which offers 85 channels and 2,500 pieces of content. They also launched Hekaya Shorts, which the group presents as Morocco’s first short-series service showcasing local productions in Darija, with 19 series and more than 800 episodes. The company also cites mobile offers linked to the 2026 World Cup and the distribution of TOD in Morocco during AFCON 2025, with match access priced at 50 dirhams.
