Royal Air Maroc is set to receive its 18th Boeing 737 MAX-8, taking its fleet to 69 aircraft and supporting network growth across key routes.<\/p>\n
The aircraft, registered CN-RHR, will strengthen the airline\u2019s capacity on short and medium-haul services. The delivery also marks a new fleet record for Royal Air Maroc, including aircraft operated by its regional subsidiary RAM Express.<\/p>\n
The new Boeing 737 MAX-8 will become the 18th aircraft of its type in the carrier\u2019s fleet. Boeing will also reach 45 single-aisle aircraft in Royal Air Maroc\u2019s fleet, reinforcing the US manufacturer\u2019s role in the airline\u2019s short and medium-haul operations.<\/p>\n
The additional capacity will support routes with strong demand to Europe, West Africa and the Middle East. The aircraft also brings updated cabin features designed to improve passenger comfort.<\/p>\n
Royal Air Maroc\u2019s fleet expansion forms part of a wider development strategy. Oussama El Farisi, Head of Engineering at Royal Air Maroc, previously said the airline\u2019s development plan provides for the integration of between 10 and 15 aircraft each year. He also said each aircraft undergoes a technical process to ensure compliance with international requirements and the company\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n
The fleet expansion accompanies the growth of Royal Air Maroc\u2019s international network. In recent months, the airline has launched about 20 direct routes linking Morocco with major economic and tourism destinations. These include Beijing, S\u00e3o Paulo, Los Angeles, Saint Petersburg, Manchester and N\u2019Djamena.<\/p>\n
The expansion also follows the framework of the program contract signed between the Moroccan state and Royal Air Maroc in July 2023. The agreement sets an objective of quadrupling the airline\u2019s fleet to reach 200 aircraft by 2037.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
