The Sbata Aïn Chock proximity university hospital held a blood donation campaign on August 18, 2026, in Casablanca to support the availability of blood products. The operation started at 9 a.m. and aimed to mobilize donors around a medical need that affects hospitals across a wide range of treatments.

The campaign was organized with the Moroccan Agency for Blood and Its Derivatives, the Mohammed VI Blood Center and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health.

The initiative focused on strengthening blood supplies for patients requiring medical or surgical care. Blood products play a key role in the treatment of several conditions and in procedures that depend on timely access to compatible blood.

The hospital invited people willing to donate to attend the facility from 9 a.m. during the campaign. The operation also sought to raise awareness of the role that individual donations can play in maintaining available blood stocks.

By bringing together a hospital, blood services and a health foundation, the campaign reflects a coordinated approach to blood collection in Casablanca. The organizers presented blood donation as a direct contribution to patient care and emphasized that each donation can help meet an immediate medical need.
