Morocco Bahrain security coordination was at the center of a phone call between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The two officials reviewed regional developments and diplomatic efforts to support security and stability.<\/p>\n
According to Bahrain\u2019s official news agency, the ministers paid particular attention to international efforts to preserve freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic waterway remains a key maritime route for regional and international trade.<\/p>\n
Bourita and Al Zayani also discussed coordination on current regional challenges. They stressed the importance of advancing Arab cooperation in ways that serve the interests of Arab states and contribute to regional stability.<\/p>\n
The call reflects continued diplomatic coordination between Rabat and Manama. The two countries have maintained regular consultations on regional and international issues, including matters affecting the wider Arab region.<\/p>\n
The latest exchange follows talks between the two ministers in Amman in June, held on the sidelines of a meeting of Arab foreign ministers. Their discussions at the time also focused on regional security, stability and stronger coordination among Arab countries.<\/p>\n
The talks are part of broader efforts to deepen the bilateral partnership between Morocco and Bahrain. The two countries have expanded cooperation across political and economic fields in recent years.<\/p>\n
In February, Morocco and Bahrain held the sixth session of their Joint High Commission in Laayoune. The meeting produced several agreements covering customs cooperation, agriculture, food security, social protection and visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports.<\/p>\n
The session also marked the first meeting of the Morocco-Bahrain Joint High Commission with an Arab country to be held in Morocco\u2019s southern provinces.<\/p>\n
