Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) has obtained ISO 45001 certification for its workplace health and safety management system at two strategic sites in Casablanca, its historic headquarters on Boulevard Zerktouni and the Diouri Data Center. The certification follows an audit conducted by AFNOR and confirms that BCP\u2019s system complies with international best practices and Moroccan regulations on workplace health and safety.<\/p>\n
The certification recognizes a structured prevention approach based on five areas. BCP has implemented systematic identification and assessment of risks linked to work activities and environments. It has also introduced appropriate prevention and protection measures, strengthened employee training and awareness, regularly monitored system performance, and pursued continuous improvement. The approach also seeks to develop a shared prevention culture among all stakeholders.<\/p>\n
The system is aligned with the principles of conventions C155 and C187 of the International Labour Organization. Morocco has ratified both conventions, which address occupational safety and health and the promotional framework for these areas.<\/p>\n
The ISO 45001 certification forms part of a longer-term certification strategy. It follows the renewal in December 2024 of ISO 50001 certification for the same sites, reinforcing the consistency of BCP\u2019s governance and operational performance policy.<\/p>\n
BCP now plans to extend ISO 45001 certification to additional sites. The planned expansion includes BCP Tower at Casablanca Finance City.<\/p>\n
Through this certification drive, BCP places the health, safety and well-being of its employees within its broader sustainable performance strategy.<\/p>\n
