The ministry said these figures differ from higher estimates circulated by some media outlets.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"453\" data-end=\"853\">According to ministry spokesperson Rachid El Khalfi, Moroccan authorities recorded one accidental death caused by a fall from a rocky area near Ceuta, in addition to 10 deaths by drowning. The ministry added that it remains in contact with Spanish authorities through official channels to verify reports of additional fatalities in Ceuta, including the identities and nationalities of those involved.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"1155\">Spanish authorities have reported recovering 72 bodies, while officials in Ceuta have placed the death toll at 88. They noted that several of the recovered bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting that some victims may have died during earlier attempts to cross into the enclave.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1431\">The Interior Ministry reiterated Morocco\u2019s commitment to cooperation with Spain and the international community in addressing irregular migration.
