The Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) held its 2025-2026 graduation ceremony in Rabat on Monday, honoring 109 graduates while highlighting the institution’s commitment to preparing media professionals for a rapidly evolving communications landscape.<\/p>\n
The graduating class included 109 students, of whom 70.64 percent were women. A total of 46 students completed the undergraduate program in Arabic and French, while 63 earned master’s degrees in political communication, audiovisual and digital content production, and sports journalism. The ceremony also marked the graduation of the first cohort from the sports journalism master’s program.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the event, ISIC Director Abdellatif Bensfia said the institute considers media and communication to be essential pillars in building civic awareness, serving the nation, and contributing to national development.<\/p>\n
He praised the dedication of the institute’s faculty, administrative staff, and technical teams, saying their efforts have strengthened ISIC’s position among higher education institutions specializing in media and communication at both the national and international levels.<\/p>\n
Bensfia also stressed that an ISIC diploma represents more than an administrative document, describing it as a commitment, a value, and a responsibility.<\/p>\n
The director presented the institute’s action plan for the 2026-2027 academic year, which will focus on updating academic programs and course content to improve quality and better align training with the changing needs of Morocco’s information and communication sector.<\/p>\n
Addressing graduates on behalf of the teaching staff, ISIC lecturer Aicha Tazi said journalism is facing an existential challenge because of the transformations driven by algorithms and artificial intelligence in media discourse.<\/p>\n
She urged graduates not to allow these technologies to weaken their professional judgment and emphasized that receiving a diploma also means accepting responsibility for upholding the profession’s values and ethical standards.<\/p>\n
The ceremony, held in the institute’s main auditorium, also featured a tribute to two retired faculty members and the presentation of excellence awards to the highest performing students across ISIC’s academic programs in recognition of their achievements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
