The two advanced police vehicles, named Amane and Madar, are designed to strengthen surveillance, identification, and intervention capabilities for officers operating in public spaces.

Following their deployment in the capital, the connected police patrols are expected to be rolled out in Casablanca and Tangier before being gradually expanded to major cities and police prefectures across the country.

Developed by DGSN engineers and technicians, the vehicles are part of an ongoing effort to modernize police operational resources. They integrate digital technologies aimed at accelerating field checks and improving coordination between patrol units and command centers.

Amane is equipped with a network of cameras that provides 360-degree coverage of its surroundings. The collected footage can be analyzed in real time using automatic license plate recognition systems and facial recognition software powered by artificial intelligence.

The technology allows officers to conduct rapid checks while on patrol. Relevant information is displayed on a large onboard screen, enabling faster decision-making during operations.

The vehicle maintains continuous communication with command and coordination centers as well as other field units. This connection supports information sharing, traffic management, and crime-fighting operations.

Madar is designed as a mobile surveillance platform equipped with advanced monitoring technologies. Its emergency light bar, produced using 3D printing technology, incorporates several high-definition cameras.

The system can track vehicles traveling at high speed while simultaneously monitoring up to six traffic lanes. A panoramic camera positioned at the center of the unit can complete a full rotation in less than three seconds, reducing blind spots around the patrol vehicle.

Like Amane, Madar uses artificial intelligence algorithms to process collected information and assist officers during inspection and enforcement activities.

Both vehicles are equipped with geolocation systems and direct access to the DGSN central database. They also feature a new visual identity that distinguishes them from conventional police patrols.

The deployment follows a period of design, real-world testing, and specialized training for officers assigned to operate the vehicles.

Through these new mobile units, the DGSN aims to increase the speed of field verifications and improve operational coordination. The technology is also expected to support Morocco’s security preparations for major international events, including the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the country will co-host with Spain and Portugal.

The connected police patrols introduced by Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) have entered…

[3
3717,3718,3719
post-3759","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-society","tag-police-technology","tag-public-security","tag-smart-patrols
["GET
