The Sidi Boughaba beach project<\/strong> is entering a new phase as the Regional Multi Services Company of Rabat, Sal\u00e9 and K\u00e9nitra renews its participation in the national “Clean Beaches 2026” program. Conducted in partnership with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, the Province of K\u00e9nitra and the Municipality of Sidi Taibi, the initiative aims to improve beach management while encouraging responsible environmental practices.<\/p>\n

Through its sponsorship of Sidi Boughaba beach, the company seeks to provide visitors with a clean, safe and accessible seaside destination. The initiative also serves as a platform to raise awareness about sustainable water management and responsible consumption of water and electricity during the summer season, when resource demand typically increases.<\/p>\n

Throughout the summer, dedicated teams carry out daily cleaning operations covering the beach, access routes and public facilities. Waste collection, sanitation services and maintenance of public infrastructure form part of a broader effort to maintain high environmental and service standards.<\/p>\n

Several new facilities have been introduced to improve visitor comfort and accessibility. These include wooden walkways leading to the beach, observation towers, free parasols and amphibious wheelchairs designed to help people with reduced mobility access the shoreline.<\/p>\n

Environmental awareness remains a central component of the program. This year’s activities feature the national “B7ar Bla Plastic” campaign, led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection. The campaign encourages the reduction of plastic waste and promotes responsible behavior to help protect marine ecosystems.<\/p>\n

A seasonal educational program has also been developed to engage beachgoers through interactive activities. Radio broadcasts, recycling workshops for children, waste collection initiatives and cultural and sporting events are organized to encourage greater public participation in environmental protection.<\/p>\n

The program addresses key environmental challenges including plastic pollution, water conservation, energy efficiency, climate change and water stress. Organizers aim to encourage visitors to adopt environmentally responsible habits that extend beyond the beach environment.<\/p>\n

By participating in the Clean Beaches 2026 program, the Regional Multi Services Company of Rabat, Sal\u00e9 and K\u00e9nitra reinforces its commitment to sustainable development, environmental protection and public awareness.
