The sixth edition of the M’diq Solidarity Bazaar has opened at the city’s marina, bringing together artisans, creators and small business owners benefiting from microfinance programs in an initiative designed to strengthen income generating activities and expand market access for local products.<\/p>\n
Organized by the Mohammed VI Center for Support of Solidarity Microfinance in partnership with the Prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, the event runs until August 31 and coincides with the peak summer season, when the city welcomes large numbers of visitors.<\/p>\n
Participants include self employed entrepreneurs and small project owners showcasing a wide range of local products, handicrafts and creative works. The event offers exhibitors an opportunity to promote their expertise and connect with new customers among tourists and summer visitors.<\/p>\n
The bazaar forms part of the center’s broader efforts to support microfinance beneficiaries by providing dedicated exhibition and sales spaces. The initiative aims to strengthen economic and social inclusion, improve incomes and encourage entrepreneurship among targeted groups.<\/p>\n
According to Amina Sakioudi, Director General of the Mohammed VI Center for Support of Solidarity Microfinance, the event has become a major national platform for promoting solidarity entrepreneurship and highlighting the diversity of Moroccan products.<\/p>\n
She said the bazaar serves as a space for supporting small scale economic initiatives and advancing economic inclusion. Beyond being a venue for exhibition and sales, the event reflects an approach that places economic development at the service of people by creating opportunities, strengthening economic autonomy and improving living conditions through work and creativity.<\/p>\n
Sakioudi noted that M’diq will host more than 250 exhibitors from different regions of Morocco over four successive periods during the nearly two month event. Participants will present products and creations that reflect the richness of the country’s artisanal and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n
The availability of commercial spaces enables project owners to reach new markets, enhance the value of their products and develop their economic activities, according to the center’s director general.<\/p>\n
She added that increased sales opportunities can serve as a starting point for new investments, job creation and improved living conditions for many families.<\/p>\n
Beyond its economic dimension, the bazaar also contributes to boosting the tourism and economic appeal of M’diq by enriching the summer season and promoting Morocco’s artisanal, cultural and gastronomic heritage.<\/p>\n
Through the initiative, the Mohammed VI Center for Support of Solidarity Microfinance says it will continue supporting the microfinance sector and inclusive entrepreneurship by creating concrete marketing opportunities, strengthening beneficiaries’ economic independence and facilitating their long term integration into the economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
