Immersive experiences are gradually creating new opportunities in Morocco across culture, tourism, entertainment and gastronomy. By combining heritage, audiovisual technologies and culinary creativity, these concepts offer new ways to tell stories and engage visitors through interactive experiences.<\/p>\n
Sensoria is one of these initiatives. The immersive concept revisits Moroccan heritage through a combination of gastronomy, digital scenography and video mapping. Using the journey of Moroccan explorer Ibn Batouta as its narrative thread, the experience presents a contemporary interpretation of travel where projections, soundscapes and culinary creations contribute to a unified storytelling experience.<\/p>\n
More than a gastronomic dinner, Sensoria is designed as a sensory journey. Walls, tables and d\u00e9cor become projection surfaces, while images, lighting effects and sound evolve alongside each course. The different sequences extend the narrative and create a dialogue between heritage, gastronomy and immersive technologies.<\/p>\n
To deliver the experience, organizers focused on synchronizing projections, lighting, sound and scenography so that each technological element would contribute naturally to immersion and storytelling. Sensoria relied on the expertise of Vid\u00e9o Projection Multim\u00e9dia (VPM) and Epson projection solutions.<\/p>\n
The installation uses sixteen Epson projectors, including the EB-L695SU and EB-800F models, which were selected for immersive environments. According to the company, the projectors combine 3LCD technology, high brightness and optics adapted to video mapping applications. The projections are designed to fit multiple surfaces, support the narrative and enhance the presentation of dishes through detailed visual content.<\/p>\n
Kaoutar Akamkam, Marketing Department Head for North and French Speaking Africa at Epson, said immersive technologies are creating new opportunities for stakeholders in culture, tourism, events and creative industries. S\u00e9bastien Schnabel, founder of AVEXTD Maroc and Sensoria Immersif, said the Epson projectors are well suited for permanent immersive installations and helped achieve the desired visual results using equipment available locally.<\/p>\n
Laurent Azoulay, Technical Director at Vid\u00e9o Projection Multim\u00e9dia, highlighted the availability of Epson equipment in Morocco and Africa, along with after sales support and the performance of its 3LCD technology. He said these features help create demanding immersive experiences while ensuring reliability for clients.<\/p>\n
Beyond this project, the collaboration reflects the growing use of projection technologies in fields ranging from culture and tourism to events and gastronomic experiences.
