Several provinces across Morocco are expected to experience a new heatwave, with temperatures reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius, according to a weather alert issued by the Directorate General of Meteorology.<\/p>\n
The forecast indicates that temperatures between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius are expected in Zagora, Tata, Es-Semara, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Aousserd.<\/p>\n
Temperatures ranging from 40 to 43 degrees Celsius are also forecast in Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Errachidia, Khenifra, Boulemane, Chichaoua, and Guercif.<\/p>\n
The same temperature range is expected in Taounate, Taza, Taroudant, Tinghir, and Khouribga. Settat, Kelaat Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Figuig, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, and Guelmim are also expected to face temperatures between 40 and 43 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n
Hot weather is common during Morocco\u2019s summer season, particularly in central and southern areas of the country. Coastal cities have also recorded elevated temperatures, especially at the end of June and during the first week of July.<\/p>\n
Temperatures eased during the second week of July, falling from around 38 degrees Celsius to between 26 and 28 degrees in some areas, including Rabat.<\/p>\n
In light of the rising temperatures, Morocco\u2019s Health Ministry has urged residents to avoid outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day. The ministry also advised wearing light clothing and limiting physical exertion.<\/p>\n
Authorities further called on families and relatives to regularly check on elderly and sick individuals and ensure they remain adequately hydrated.<\/p>\n
The ministry warned that anyone experiencing symptoms such as high fever, unusual fatigue, dizziness, headaches, intense thirst, muscle cramps, confusion, unusual drowsiness, redness, or restlessness should seek immediate medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
