Canadian mining company Safi Silver has secured a $3 million payment from Horizon Corporation Limited as it continues exploration activities at the Addana silver project in southern Morocco.<\/p>\n
The payment represents the second of eight quarterly installments agreed under a transaction completed in late 2025. The financing structure provides non-dilutive capital to support the company’s operations while preserving its long-term financial interests linked to the Kombat Mine through royalty and contingent consideration agreements.<\/p>\n
Safi Silver President and Chief Executive Officer Jed Richardson said the scheduled payment reinforces the company’s financial position and supports the execution of its growth plans without requiring the issuance of additional shares. He added that the arrangement also allows the company to maintain exposure to the future performance of the Namibian mining asset.<\/p>\n
The Addana silver project remains Safi Silver’s main operational priority. The company said exploration activities are progressing according to plan as it seeks to expand its understanding of the mineralized system.<\/p>\n
Chief Exploration Officer Andreas Rompel reported that drilling operations continue to move forward as expected. He said the company is encouraged by the pace of work and expects to release its first analytical results in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Safi Silver confirmed that core samples from the first two drill holes have already been sent for laboratory testing. Drilling is currently underway on the fourth hole of the company’s first drilling campaign at the Moroccan property. Assay results will be published once laboratory analysis is completed.<\/p>\n
Located near Akka in Tata province, approximately 300 kilometers southeast of Agadir, the Addana silver project covers an area of about 112 square kilometers. The site is situated within a historic lead and silver mining district with a long record of mineral extraction.<\/p>\n
According to the company, mineralized veins have been identified across more than 40 kilometers of strike length. Historical mining records from the region indicate significant silver and lead grades in previously extracted ore.
