Morocco\u2019s automotive exports exceeded MAD 77 billion by the end of May 2026, marking a 15.9% increase compared with the same period a year earlier and reinforcing the sector\u2019s position as the country\u2019s leading export industry, according to data from the Exchange Office.<\/p>\n
Automotive and aerospace sectors post strong gains<\/strong><\/p>\n The Exchange Office attributed the automotive sector\u2019s growth to strong performances in the construction and cable segments.<\/p>\n Exports from the construction segment rose 27.1% to MAD 31.30 billion, while cable exports increased 12.2% to MAD 28.89 billion. The figures reflect continued demand for Morocco\u2019s automotive manufacturing output.<\/p>\n Morocco\u2019s aerospace industry also recorded solid growth during the first five months of the year. Exports from the sector climbed 14.2% year on year to MAD 13.85 billion.<\/p>\n According to the Exchange Office, aerospace performance was supported by a 19.7% increase in assembly exports and a 3.6% rise in exports of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems.<\/p>\n Mixed performance across export sectors<\/strong><\/p>\n Exports from Morocco\u2019s agriculture and agri food sector increased by 3.4% during the January to May period.<\/p>\n Several other sectors, however, recorded declines compared with the same period in 2025. Textile and leather exports fell 9.1%, while electronics and electricity exports dropped 9.8%.
