The new Kenitra automotive plant<\/strong> officially opened in Morocco as BENTELER strengthened its manufacturing footprint in one of North Africa\u2019s leading automotive hubs. The inauguration ceremony brought together Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour, BENTELER Group Chief Executive Officer Ralf G\u00f6ttel, company executives, employees, customers, and business partners.<\/p>\n

The Kenitra automotive plant<\/strong> begins operations just one year after construction started in the Atlantic Free Zone. The facility is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs while supporting additional employment opportunities across the local automotive supply chain.<\/p>\n

Ryad Mezzour said the investment marks an important step in the development of Morocco\u2019s automotive ecosystem. According to the minister, the project will enhance industrial competitiveness, strengthen local value chain integration, and reinforce the country\u2019s position as a destination for international manufacturing investment.<\/p>\n

Ralf G\u00f6ttel described the site as a key element of BENTELER\u2019s global growth strategy. He said the facility combines industrial performance, customer proximity, and sustainability while reflecting the company\u2019s commitment to expanding production capacity in strategic markets. He also credited local teams for delivering the project with expertise and reliability.<\/p>\n

Matthias Siemer, President of BENTELER Automotive Components Europe, highlighted the support provided by Moroccan institutions and local partners throughout the planning and launch phases. He said the company\u2019s local production model improves supply chain flexibility and reliability by manufacturing close to customers.<\/p>\n

BENTELER cited Morocco\u2019s skilled workforce, established automotive sector, industrial infrastructure, and strategic geographic location as major advantages. The company also pointed to the growing share of renewable energy in the country as a factor supporting its sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n

Beginning in summer 2026, the facility will manufacture front and rear bumpers, torsion beam axles, crash protection components, and suspension arms for an international automotive manufacturer. Production systems include a 3,200 ton cold forming press, advanced welding technologies, a cathodic dip coating line, and 3D laser technology.<\/p>\n

Designed as a connected digital factory, the plant incorporates Industry 4.0 solutions developed through BENTELER\u2019s SMART FACTORIES initiative to improve efficiency, product quality, and operational transparency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
