The United States has temporarily suspended certain import duties on Moroccan phosphate fertilizer after President Donald Trump declared a national emergency related to fertilizer supplies. The country holds approximately 70% of the world’s known phosphate rock reserves and plays a central role in global fertilizer markets. The US Departments of the Treasury and Commerce will oversee implementation of the measure and monitor market conditions throughout the emergency period.<\/p>\n
