Epson and Shakira renew back-to-school campaign to support young talents
Epson is renewing its Moroccan back-to-school campaign for a second year, combining the purchase of EcoTank printers with access to educational, sports and artistic activities. The 2026 initiative continues the company’s partnership with Shakira and aims to give young people opportunities to develop skills and interests beyond the classroom. The offer can provide beneficiaries with courses worth up to 650 DHS.
The campaign, titled “Reveal your children’s talents with EcoTank”, covers the full EcoTank range, including Home, Home Plus, Business and Business Plus models. After purchasing a printer, consumers can scan the QR code available on promotional materials, register their purchase and upload proof of purchase through the dedicated microsite. The platform also provides the terms and conditions of the offer.
An expanded offer for learning and talent development
This year’s campaign expands the range of activities available to beneficiaries. Each eligible purchase can provide access to up to four courses selected from a range of educational, sports and artistic activities.
For online learning, Epson is working with partners including Duolingo, Upskillist, iSchool Tech, iCodeJr, Just Tutors and International Open Academy. The courses cover languages, mathematics and English, academic support, coding, artificial intelligence and digital skills.
The campaign also gives young people access to sports and artistic activities through a network of more than 100 partners across Morocco. The activities include football, basketball, martial arts, dance, music, gymnastics and swimming.
Epson is also continuing to offer Creative Corner, its free platform of printable creative resources. The platform provides children and parents with content designed to extend learning and encourage creative activities at home.
Back-to-school activations will also take place at several partner stores, including Marjane, Biougnach, Bousfiha, Brand & Corners and Electroplanet. During these activations, consumers will be able to receive promotional gifts and free reams of paper, particularly during weekends.
The campaign comes as families seek to balance digital tools with physical learning materials. An OECD report titled How’s Life for Children in the Digital Age? notes that digital tools can provide learning opportunities while excessive screen use can affect children’s well-being.
An Epson study cited by the company found that 69% of surveyed parents and teachers observe fatigue linked to students’ use of laptops and tablets. Another 59% consider printed materials more comfortable for the eyes. More than half of respondents also believe printed materials support deeper reading and understanding.
Against this backdrop, Epson presents EcoTank printers as a home printing solution for schoolwork, revision materials, projects and creative activities.
EcoTank targets everyday learning needs
Epson’s EcoTank range uses a cartridge-free system based on refillable ink tanks. According to the company, the technology can reduce printing costs by up to 90% compared with comparable printers.
The printers also use high-capacity ink bottles. Under certain conditions of use, one set of bottles can provide printing autonomy for up to three years.
For families, Epson says this combination of refillable tanks, high-capacity bottles and ease of use can make it easier to print materials needed throughout the school year without frequent consumable replacements.
